Wset wine maps1/5/2024 The aim of the course is to focus on key grape varieties, regions of the world and principle varieties of spirits. A detailed look at the appellation's top crus, broken out by town and the corresponding vineyard. Successful students will receive a certificate and WSET® Level 1 Award. An overview of the country's major wine regions: Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Languedoc, Loire Valley, Provence and Rhne Valley. You can download the app from iTunes here. The aim of the course is to give a basic introduction to wine followed by food & wine pairing. When you have finished each game, you are shown the list of wines you have been faced with placing during the game, whether you get them correct or otherwise you are provided with generic tasting notes on that wine or region so as well as testing what you already know about wine, the application aims to extend that knowledge. The most exhaustive task was to redraw and treat a huge number of maps that made up the varying levels within the game. I had to design the look and feel of the entire app from splash and information screens, to the main game interface, icons and development assets. The game contains a mechanic that allows you to zoom into various wine producing areas of the world, and the game operates by you having to select the correct area where you think wine label you are shown in the main game interface originates from. The brief from WSET was to design & develop an iPhone app which would be both fun to play as well as being informative, helping the player to learn and increase their knowledge of wines from around the world.
